![]() They don't mind denying access to the game for the people who either can't afford that, or say 'well i guess this game is over', because there isn't the potential for more money there. They're hoping some people will think 'eh well fuck it, take 50 bucks I'm not replaying through that again'. GAMEFAQS PSERSONA 5 PS3 SAVE FILES FULLEither that or buy all of the DLC you didn't actually want for more than the full game itself cost in the first place. If you haven't been saving on multiple files, you could potentially need to replay all of that to get to where you were if your save file was locked. To then say 'gotcha!' to those players and lock their save files is pretty predatory if you ask me, and only makes Atlus look bad (and they already looked bad because of how expensive the DLC is anyway) because they are trying to pry money out of people who didn't actually ever intend to buy their DLC by creating a block in front of content that the player has already paid for because of what was probably an oversight and even if it wasn't, is so insignificant in terms of impact on the game and also on Atlus's revenue that the block shouldn't even exist in the first place.Īlso Persona 5 is a 100 odd hour game. Most players will identify the costume and minor bonus DLC as a cheap money grab/not worth it and disregard it, but if given a way to see it for free, they probably will just out of basic curiousity. The game is also very easy so these kinds of boosts, etc, aren't a big deal at all.Īll of the DLC is so minor in my opinion it's barely even justifiable charging for ANY of it, but putting that aside, how much money does Atlus think they are earning by putting in this kind of block?
